The land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Petun, Anishinabewaki, Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee.
This territory is covered by Treaty 18 also known as
the Lake Simcoe – Nottawasaga Treaty.
May we live with respect on this land,
and live in peace and friendship with its people

Created in 1925, and renewed in the years since, it contains two phrases reminding us that we have come together out of diversity and that we remain together as relatives. The Latin words “Ut Omnes Unum Sint” mean “that all may be one,” and the Kanienʼkéha (Mohawk language) words “Akwe Nia'Tetewá:neren,” mean “All My Relations.”

Join us for the Advent Season, as we welcome back Rev. Jane after her sabbatical.
December 1 First Sunday In Advent - HOPE Isaiah 9:2-6 "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder. For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." A video Advent message from our Moderator Carmen Landsdowne: https://wowrcucc.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ee15470ca4eab124ea964929b&id=c164015c2c&e=d34f0b48de Announcement From Rev. Jane: We are in desperate need of a pastoral care team! If you are interested and would like more information, please speak to Jane. We will schedule a meeting as soon as we have a few people expressing interest. No experience or special skills necessary. Let's be a community of faith committed to caring for one another! I encourage you to open your hearts to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Know that each and every one of you are loved unconditionally. Make this a time to open your hearts to one another, too. Find ways to share your special gifts. Give generously, not just material things, but of yourself – the innate things – your talents and skills, your wisdom, knowledge, ideas, and time. Give of yourself what is unique and precious – contribute, mentor, collaborate, and support one another. Praise, encourage, listen, be thankful, be happy. Be hopeful. Be kind. Look after one another. Love one another. And keep praying... – Rev. John Snow Jr. is Indigenous Minister, Pacific Mountain Regional Council. Food Bank: We continue to collect non-perishable food items weekly for our local food banks as a way to support local families throughout the year. Monetary donations are also welcome. GIVE A SMILE OR THOUGHT TO OTHERS AS WE GIVE THANKS FOR ALL WE HAVE TODAY. "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7 June 10, 2025 will mark 100 years of the United Church of Canada. To launch the Centennial Year, there was a service on June 9th this year that was live-streamed. You are able to watch it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/live/L0Zwd8Y5SI8 Watch our Moderator in action! The theme of the Centennial is Deep, Bold, Daring.
